Position/Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Department: R&D
Reports to: VP of Engineering
Requisition: Immediately

I. Function Job Description:

CHRONO THERAPEUTICS INC. has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. Very competitive salary, profit sharing and equity based compensation.

II. Specific Responsibilities & Activities

The Manufacturing Engineer must have extensive experience with combination products. He/she must have extensive membrane and material knowledge relating to combination devices. He/she works in conjunction with R&D to transfer products to manufacturing. He/she performs verifications and validations in support of design validation and process change activities. He/she uses Solidworks for equipment and fixture design. Coordinates calibration and IQ/OQ/PQ and works with outside vendors in equipment support. He/she assists management in determining labor and material costs for contract proposals. He/she is involved in outsourced vendor selection and supplier approval, possibly involving some travel. He/she performs process improvement tasks, and proposes production cost reductions.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 4-7 years of Combination Device manufacturing experience.
  • Familiar with the machining of small parts, as well as tolerancing and inspection.
  • Experience with material choice and membranes.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent problem solver and communicator.
  • Experience with cleanroom, GMP, QSR, FDA, and ISO13485.
  • Statistics or Six Sigma knowledge or certification a plus.
